Desktop Scanner

A desktop scanner is a common image input device. The document to be scanned is placed face-down on the scanner’s glass plate.

After the scanner driver is activated, a movable light source installed inside the scanner, controlled by a mechanical transmission mechanism and a control circuit, drives the scanning head (equipped with an optical system and CCD) to move relative to the document to complete the scan.

In desktop scanners, motors are primarily used in the following areas:

Controlling the scanning platform: The scanning platform is a movable platform, and motors control its vertical movement and upward and downward rotation. For example, a stepper motor drives the scanning platform’s horizontal movement, while a motor drives its upward and downward rotation, enabling top-down and top-down scanning of the scanned object.

Driven by the rotating table: The rotating table is driven by a motor and can rotate to any angle, allowing the scanning mechanism’s camera to capture any orientation of the scanned object.

Based on the operational requirements of desktop scanners, the following motors are recommended:

DM28PBL2847: This motor offers high precision and stability, making it suitable for controlling the scanning platform’s elevation and rotation, ensuring smooth and accurate scanning.

DM-16SMR130: This motor offers sufficient power for installation in space-constrained scanners. It drives the turntable, ensuring fast and stable rotation.

DM58SW555: This motor offers high durability and reliability, suitable for long-term continuous operation. It drives the scanning platform’s lift and rotation, ensuring stable scanner operation.
